Timber Loft Ladder and Hatch

An easy to use timber folding ladder. With a counter-balanced, spring-loaded mechanism, it's easy to lower and raise. With 80mm wide treads and a hand rail, entry and exit is safe and comfortable.

• Supplied as a complete unit with a white faced trapdoor, timber casing and ladder for quick and easy installation.
• Spruce ladder with 82mm deep non-slip treads folding into 3 sections.
• Suits floor to ceiling heights up to 3.2mts (wih extension kit)
• Supplied with 1 x Red Metal Handrail as standard - see Product Images.
• Draught proofed and 34mm deep insulation to hatch door.
• No storage space needed in the loft as ladder stores completely on hatch.

• Hidden hatch door hinges are an added feature and make it easier to paint, varnish or stain the hatch door.
• Operating pole included.
• Pair of plastic ladder feet (black) included to protect your flooring
• Optional 2nd side Metal Handrail (red colour) available.

Aluminium Loft Ladder

Probably the most popular choice due to its lightweight and robust construction. This ladder can be used in just about any loft hatch location, particularly where space is limited.

• Suitable for floor to loft floor heights up to 3mts

Loft Hatches

Fire Rated Metal Hatch (Custom Made)

These Premium Loft Hatches can be made to any width and length up to 90cm. Ideal where standard loft hatches cannot be used due to size limitations. Fully insulated and sealed to prevent warm air passing through into your loft. They also have a 30-minute fire rating; which is a requirement for most 3-storey properties.

LED Batten – Mains Wired

These lights are a perfect addition to your loft, particularly if you're using it regularly. Low-energy, cool to touch and super bright, they will light a vast area helping you to locate your items more easily.

Battery Operated Pull-Cord Light

Ideal if you only want to access you loft occasionally, or for a small loft space. These lights can be positioned anywhere, and they have a handy pull cord too.

• The Loft Light is an ultra bright, battery powered LED light bulb that illuminates a loft instantly.
• The Loft Light requires no electrical wiring and can be screwed directly to any timber element in the Loft (roof truss, rafter, purlin or noggin).
• Utilising the latest in LED technology the Loft Light provides the equivalent illumination of a 32 Watt bulb with a battery life of up to 4 years.
• The Loft Light includes a 2m long pull string and reflective strip

Protection Cover for Downlights

Essential where any down lights are not fire rated. These covers provide the protection between the light unit and the insulation.

Insulation

The Knauf loft roll 44 is an ideal solution for those seeking thermal insulation for pitched roofs at ceiling level It is a flexible, lightweight, non-combustible and low-density glass mineral wool quilt that provides excellent thermal insulation. Available in 100mm, 170mm and 200mm thickness.

Loft Hatch Safety

Timber Balustrade

Due to the size of the hatch opening (minimum 1000x550mm) when the ladder is in use, we always install a timber safety rail around 2 or 3 sides (depending upon the configuration and location of your hatch).

Constructed from 75x50mm CLS timber, it gives you peace of mind so that you can move around your loft safely.

Steel handrail

For smaller hatches and where assistance is needed for easier entry and exit, we will install a steel rail.
